“A big “Thank You!!” to Foundation Wellness! I started practicing in this yoga space when the studio was under a different name and ownership. I completely fell in love with it and after practicing there for over 3 years was not at all looking forward to it changing hands. Honestly, I am so thankful that I stayed the course and gave Stephanie and the other instructors at Foundation Wellness a chance. Each instructor really does bring something special and unique to the table and it truly is a no judgment studio. Physically, I am still enjoying all the amazing toning and flexibility benefits of yoga, but now I’m also learning new things and being encouraged to challenge myself with new poses. Yoga though for me is not just about the workout, it is a way of being. I have always struggled with stress, anxiety and finding true self-awareness. Through yoga I have learned to stop judging myself; to appreciate my strengths and to be ok when things are physically, mentally and emotionally out of my control. I’ve also learned the importance of having a mind / body connection and that when you are grounded, you really can breathe your way through most any type of uncomfortable. I am very grateful to call Foundation Wellness my yoga home and am I’m looking forward to the exciting things this growing studio will continue to offer.”

“All the teachers here have their own Awesome to add, but a particularly memorable experience for me was with Brittany, who during savasana placed her hands gently one at a time onto my open palms. Sounds like not a big deal, but her awareness of me and choice to do that made all the difference for me. I’ve been struggling with some hand issues for the last year or so and that loving touch jogged in me all kinds of thinking about my own self-care that literally had me wiping tears from my eyes. Yoga is a powerful force and I’m thankful that FW is helping me find my own power and open up in so many ways.”
“I hadn’t done yoga in over two years, due to a job change. But I’d always missed it and decided it was time to start back up when a friend recommended Foundation Wellness. She said the classes were affordable and the schedule was convenient, with early classes available. Both important, as I’m a single mother working multiple jobs. Right away, I was impressed with the look of the studio and the quality of instructors. I felt completely comfortable, like I’d found “home”. Incidentally, I’d been suffering from vertigo, and so I took things easy in the beginning. I was careful with some of the poses. After about a month though, I’d realized that any dizzy spells were few and far between…almost non-existent. I did a little research and found that yoga is often used to treat mild vertigo with great success. Bonus! I haven’t felt this good, both physically and mentally, in years. I’m so grateful for Foundation and my new yoga family. “
“One year ago, I was diagnosed as “pre-diabetic” and my high cholesterol was out of control (was already taking a statin). The doctor decided to wait a year before prescribing metformin for the sugar to see if I would make some necessary changes on my own. I decided to take a beginners running class with FW last summer, and committed to the fall Pint-sized Marathon. I wasn’t the most diligent runner and barely ever ran on my own, only during the class, but did do the race. I’ve run a few times since then. Today, I got my new numbers and I am no longer pre-diabetic, and the cholesterol numbers are down significantly. I have not changed eating habits, or medication. The only change…I move more. This has re-inspired me to get out and run more, and move more in general. Thank you Stephanie and FW for the knowledge, encouragement, and inspiration to do something that I didn’t think I could do before. I’ll be stepping it up this year for sure, both fitness and diet.”
